Kladské peat
The Kladská nature trail leads along the borders of the Kladské peat bogs National Nature Reserve and introduces the history of the Kladská settlement, the development of the peat bog and its fauna and flora. On the route of the wooden walkway you will get to know the local nature up close with your own eyes.
The Kladská Nature Trail is one of the oldest and largest nature reserves in the Karlovy Vary Region. It is also one of the most valuable parts of the Slavkovský les Protected Landscape Area. It was declared in 1933 on five peat bogs in the vicinity of Kladská. Kladské peat bogs are a unique set of mountain peat bogs at altitudes ranging from 800 to 930 m, with a total area of almost 300 ha. The largest of these peat bogs is the Tajga. Other parts are Paterák, Lysina, Malé peat bog and Goose Forest.
